Our Values
Undugu
is Swahili for brotherhood
. The movement is based on the idea that all people are brothers and sisters in a blessed family with God as our common parent.
Undugu Family Performers is a non-profit group aimed at promoting peace, unity, and brotherhood. We educate disadvantaged children in our community by using performing arts to teach them about their cultural backgrounds.
With Undugu Family Performers, children develop their talents in music, dance and drama, allowing them to earn a living in the performing arts and help to preserve traditional Ugandan values.
Children supported by Undugu Family Performers are expected to:
- Attend school regularly
- Attend training sessions twice a week
- Practise good behaviour, free of substance abuse, violence or illegal activities
- Try to be a valuable member of their community
- Help spread awareness about the importance of education and peace
